Istanbul Technical University Investment Club is very proud to announce that you are invited to the conference named “Global Opportunities in Business and Investment 2010 (GOBI 2010) between 12-17 Aprils. This is the second time of this organization right after GOBI 2009 which is the best university organization of Turkey.
When it is considered that “investment” and “business” issues have been recently getting more important, GOBI 2010 will be a meeting where these two concepts are combined. For this conference, students of the different reputable universities from all around Europe are being invited. Participation fee is 80 € per person.
(Everything is included in the participation fee such as accommodation, transportation in Istanbul during the event and meals, so just buy your plane tickets)There will be 6 sessions which the leading companies around the world in prominent sectors will attend to. Besides technical sessions, there will be sightseeing trips and parties.

Ne mavi Ne siyah

... büyüdüğüm mahallede kurduğum hayaller.
... abimle beraber van gogh un ünlü tarlalarındaki gibi. yem yeşil çayırların üstünde, masmavi gökyüzünün altında, sımsıcak ama yakmayan güneşin ışıltısı... hayaller kuruyoruz birlikte..

yeniden merhaba
-bugün hiç birşey öğrenmeden geçti. eve geç kaldım. hatta servisten indiğimde eve iki durak kala indim. sonra bir daire çizdim yörüngesi evimin yönüne zıt olan. hava kararmaya yakın vardım.. anahtarı unutmuştum. ya da bilerek çekmecemden almadım. geç uyudum. işler yetişmedi. hatta ve hatta servisi bu sabah az kalsın kaçırıyordum.. geç kalktığımdan değil servisçinin işgüzarlığından. kimse mükemmel değil.
bunları neden yazdım.

New York'ta, İkiz kuleler arasında yürümek. İnanmak benim için çok zor olurdu eğer görmeseydim. Philip Petit bunu başardı. Hem de 24 yaşındayken. Petit şöyle diyor; eğer hedefiniz varsa onu hayal eder, onu görür ya da yaşayarak elde edersiniz. Onun hayali bir gün dişçiye gittiğinde muayne olurken gözüne çarpan haberdeydi. Dişçide sırasını beklerken dünyanın en büyük kulelerinin amerikaya inşa edileceği yazılıydı. Dişini çektirmeden büyük bir heyecanla paris sokaklarına koyulur. Evet hayali henüz yeryüzünde yoktur ;ama bir gün kulelerin yapımı bitince ip cambazı Philip Petit Amerikaya uçacak ve bu hayalini kanun önünde suçlu düşmek pahasına bile olsa gerçekleştirecektir....August 7, 1974.
bu sıradışı öyküyü bugun IF Istanbul Film festivalinin gala gecesinde izleme fırsatı buldum. Tamami ile arşivden çıkan görüntüler ve fotoğraflar ile süslenmiş olan bu filmde inancı, hayata gökkuşağının renkleri ile bezenmiş gözlüklerle bakabilen bir denge ustasının sıradışı öyküsünü izleme fırsatı bulmak çok zevkliydi.

Philippe Petit (born August 13, 1949) is a French high wire artist who gained fame for his high-wire walk between the Twin Towers in New York City on August 7, 1974.[1]
He used a 450-pound cable to do so and also a custom-made 26-foot (7.9 m) long, 55-pound balancing pole. Tight-rope walker, unicyclist, magician and pantomime artist, Philippe Petit was also one of the earliest modern day street jugglers in Paris in 1968. He juggled and worked on a slack rope with regularity in Washington Square Park in New York City in the early 1970s. Petit is one of the Artists-in-Residence at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. Other famous structures he has used for tightrope walks include Notre Dame de Paris, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Louisiana Superdome, the Hennepin County Government Center, and between the Palais de Chaillot and the Eiffel Tower. Petit currently lives in Woodstock, New York. A documentary film named Man on Wire by UK director James Marsh dealing with Petit's WTC performance won both the World Cinema Jury and Audience awards at the Sundance Film Festival 2008. The film also won awards at the 2008 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham, N.C. and is currently nominated for a 2008 Academy Award.

Philippe Petit (13 de Agosto de 1949) é um artista francês de "alta linha" (de renome), que ficou famoso pela sua caminhada ilegal entre as Torres Gêmeas em Nova York no dia 7 de Agosto de 1974. Ele usou um cabo de 450 libras (204,3 quilogramas) para fazer tal façanha.
Com apenas 24 anos de idade, Petit atravessou oito vezes as inacabadas torres, a um quarto de milha acima da Terra. O acrobata levou seis anos planejando e, durante este tempo, aprendeu tudo que podia sobre os edifícios. Sua acrobacia saiu em manchetes pelo mundo inteiro.
Com amigos aprendeu a subi-las sem ser detectado. Escondeu cabos e preparou a travessia. Na manhã escolhida usaram um arco e flecha para depois lançar o cabo entre as torres. Quando deram por ele, já ia a meio da travessia.
Ele teve a primeira "inspiração" enquanto estava sentado no consultório do seu dentista em Paris.Veio assim que viu um artigo sobre as torres incompletas, junto com uma ilustração do modelo.
A imensa cobertura das notícias e a apreciação do público da acrobacia de Petit resultou em "esquecimento" das acusações formais relatando a sua caminhada. Entretanto a corte "sentenciou" Petit pela sua perigosa performance para crianças no Central Park de Nova York. Além disso Petit foi presenteado com uma oportunidade única, visitar a Plataforma de Observação das Torres Gêmeas pelas autoridades portuárias de Nova York e Nova Jersey.
Em 2002, Petit publicou um memorial descrevendo a acrobacia, "To Reach the Clouds: My High Wire Walk Between the Twin Towers(ISBN 0-86547-651-9).Mordicai Gerstein's children's book sobre a caminhada, The Man Who Walked Between the Towers(ISBN 0-7613-1791-0), recebeu o Caldecott Award em 2004.
O atravessador da corda "estreita"(bamba), monociclista, mágico e mímico, Philippe Petit também foi o malabarista mais novo e moderno de rua em Paris em 1968. Ele fez malabarismos e trabalhou numa corda bamba regulamente no Washington Square Park na cidade de Nova York nos anos de 1970. P
Petit antigamente foi artista residente na Cathedral of St. John The Divine na cidade de Nova York. outra famosa construção usada para corda bamba inclui essa catedral, a Louisiana Superdome, e entre o Pallais de Chaillot e a Torre Eiffel.
